Founders' Dinner
In November each year, a commemoration dinner is held in
honour of the Founders of the Society. This event is the cornerstone
of the Society's calendar giving an important opportunity for members
to gather together to appreciate good fare and fellowship, with
a strong emphasis on the invitation of younger colleagues to be
invited as members' guests. A tradition of the dinner is the oration
given by a member, chosen by the President, and the attendance of
an eminent guest speaker.

Burns' Supper
The Society, in conjunction
with the Aberdeen Medical Society, holds a Burns' Supper in January
each year.
The next Burns' Supper
will be on Friday 28 January 2011 at 7 pm for 7.30 pm at the Forum,
3 Skene Terrace, Aberdeen |

President's Golf Cup
Professor Sir Ashley MacIntosh was Regius Professor of
Medicine at Aberdeen University from 1912 to 1928. As President
of the Society in 1920 he donated the President's Cup to be presented
to the winners of an annual golf foursomes matchplay competition.
The Society applies a handicap formula based on skill and experience
to ensure that each partnership has realistic aspirations.
Entries are welcomed and encouraged from any member who is aware
of the spirit of the game. |
