An exceptionally experienced public servant, Cllr Barney Crockett is currently Lord Provost of the City of Aberdeen and President of the World Energy Cities Partnership, connecting leading energy cities on all continents who are committed to fostering the transition to a more sustainable energy future.

Previously serving in a wide range of high profile roles both in the North East and nationally, including City of Aberdeen Council Leader, President of HYer, the European Association for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells and Electro-mobility in the European Regions, Chair of the North Sea Commission promoting economic development of the North Sea Region and Scottish Enterprise.

Regularly interviewed on local economic affairs by various local and international publications including the Financial Times, Guardian, The Economist, New York Times, Irish Times and Handelsblatt.

Television and radio appearances include the UK, Norway, Germany, Italy, Japan and Switzerland.
